Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse into Intel's world of high technology. Experience what it is like inside an ultra-clean Intel "fab" where computer chips are made. Try on a "bunny suit" worn by factory employees. In keeping with the pace of technology, exhibits change frequently. More than 30 interactive exhibits explain complex scientific concepts; two new exhibits show how technology has evolved from telegrams to cell phones and how advanced chip designs and manufacturing are accelerating technological advancements. The museum is designed as a self-guided experience; free audio tour handsets are offered in seven languages. Souvenirs, toys, gifts, and apparel are available at the museum store. Erected in 1888, Lick Observatory housed an enormous 36-inch refractor telescope which was then the largest telescope in the world as well as the first mountaintop observatory ever built. This astronomy and astrophysics facility of the University of California features various telescopes, with a 120-inch reflector and a 36-inch refractor for visitor viewing.
